Rome: A Festival of Music, 3–9 February 2008
13/08/2007
A meticulous restoration of Renaissance and Baroque music to some of the greatest palaces and churches in Rome – an experience of exceptional aesthetic richness.

Leading proponents of the genre, including the Tallis Scholars, Andreas Scholl, Gabrieli Consort and the Accademia Bizantina, will perform private concerts in such beautiful venues as the Galleria Borghese, Santa Maria del Popolo, Palazzo Colonna and Santa Maria in Trastevere.

There are private visits to the Galleria Borghese, the Sistine Chapel and the Galleria Doria Pamphilj, as well as a range of art history walks. Renowned musicologist Roderick Swanston will give lectures on the music.
