| The early twentieth century witnessed a resurgence of interest in the music of the Italian composer Evaristo Felice Dall’Abaco (1675—1742). Dall’Abaco’s works were hailed as the “finest and purest type of Italian chamber music at the peak of its development,” and were considered to have surpassed even those of Corelli. |
