| Dietrich Buxtehude (1637-1707) is the most important German composer between Schütz and J. S. Bach and the best representative of the German-Danish musical culture of the Baltic Sea, which was at its peak at the time. | It is always satisfying to rediscover composers, who, despite being left in the shadows of more important composers of their time, nevertheless provide us with the opportunity to enjoy small musical gems. This is the case with Giles Farnaby (c. 1563-1640). |
