14 to 23 March 2008. This year’s artist in residence at the Cuenca Religious Music Week is the pianist Peter Donohoe. Donohoe studied under Derek Wyndham and later with Yvonne Loriod and Olivier Messiaen, and it is to the latter that this year’s lectures will be devoted. |

Pinnock writes that in 1982 'I stood in awe of Bach’s discipline and order', whereas 'today I relish his sense of daring and musical subversion'. |

13 to 19 April 2008. Founded by Bach scholar Albert Riemenschneider, for long the Director of Baldwin-Wallace College’s conservatoire, in 1932, the festival that bears name of the Ohio college is the second oldest Bach festival in the USA. |
