(1561-1627) Composer and organist born in Zaragoza in 1561. He was educated musically in his native city, and when he was 24 he got his first job as a Cathedral organist in Huesca. In 1603 he is appointed organist of the Zaragoza Cathedral, where he adquired prestige in his double roles as composer and organist, even getting international fame. He died in 1627.

Although Aguilera developed his career mainly in the XVIth Century, his musical language is Baroque, due to the stylistic features and the technical resources that, during the XVII Century became common in the Spanish composition for organ, like the tientos of medio registro and falsas.

He is considered as the first representer of the Aragonese School of organ. His production is composed mainly by works for this instrument (two Pange Lingua, two Salve and several tientos.) Usually his tientos are monotematic with frequent changes of meter. Also, he composed an extraordinary vocal anthology Canticum Beatissimae Virginis deiparae Mariae of 1618, formed by 36 magnificat for four, five, six and eigth voices.
