Born in Spain to a noble family, he was sent to study Humanities at the prestigious College of Saint Anthony in Brescia (Italy), owned by the Jesuits.
Being still very young, in 1695, he published his book, "Trattenimenti Armonici da Camera a Tre," dedicated to the chairman of this center, the Count Gaetano Giovanelli, a Venetian aristocrat, who was described as his protector and friend.
Other than this book, there exists in the Civico Museo Bibliografico Musicales de Bologna an "Academic Concerto for 4, Op.4," that in the opinion of R. Mitjana, could be by this composer also.
