He has been taught, among others, by Abraham Hernández, Armando Renzi, Ferruccio Vignanelli, Domenico Bartolucci, José Luis Rodrigo, Javier Hinojosa, Leo Brower, José Tomás and Samuel Rubio.
He has been awarded several international prizes, as well as two senior scholarships, in the fields of guitar and musicology, by the Royal Conservatory of Music in Madrid. He has given concerts throughout Europe and America playing both the classical guitar and several early plucked string instruments, in which he has performed both as soloist and in chamber ensembles, accompanying and conducting. He has recorded several CDs, among which we find a recording of Baroque guitar music of Santiago de Murcia, two recordings playing Spanish Baroque repertoire, others conducting chamber ensembles and a double CD with Manuel M. Ponce’s complete guitar sonatas and suites.
