   MARGARETE ADORF
Margarete Adorf studied the violin with Igor Ozim, and chamber music with Quartetto Amadeus. Even during her training she concentrated on the practice of performing baroque music on vintage instruments.

Her collaboration as concertmaster in a number of orchestras with original instruments such as La Stagione Frankfurt, Nova Stravaganza, Das Neue Orchester, etc., and as violinist of the Ensemble Agora has resulted in several recordings. She has recently recorded Johann Sebastian Bach's violin concertos and Brandenburg concertos with Nova Stravaganza for the EMI label.

She has been strongly stimulated by her joint work with conductors such as Philippe Herrewege, Nikolaus Harnoncourt, Thomas Hengelbrock and Sigmund Rampe.

After a long collaboration with the Chamber Orchestra of Europe, since the 1999/2000 season she holds the role of concertmaster in the Saarbrücken Radio Symphony Orchestra, and at the same time is intensely active on the international chamber music scene.
