He's also the pianist for the Rembrandt Chamber Players, and the Chicago Baroque Ensemble's harpsichordist, and performs regularly with Music of the Baroque, and the Newberry Consort, and frequently appears on WFMT radio's on record and live studio broadcasts.
He has a number of solo recordings on the Cedille label, including the msuic of Bach, Soler, Vivaldi, Dupre, and Scarlatti. Of his recording of Soler's "Fandango & Sonatas," American Record Guide says "We have never heard more beautiful, natural, realistic harpsichord sound ... The playing? Excellent... There is no better recording on CD." The Chicago Tribune agrees, saying "The popular 'Fandango' has never received so exhilarating a reading."
Mr. Schrader received a bachelors degree in music in piano and organ from the University of Colorado. At Indiana University, he received the coveted Performer's Certificate, as well as a Doctor of Music degree. He is now on the faculty of Roosevelt University Chicago College of Performing Arts Music Conservatory.
