   CHOIR CAPELLA GIULIA
The choir "Cappella Giulia" participates in all solemn functions in St. Peter's: Holy Mass, Vespers and Praises. The name "Giulia" comes from Pope Julius II who reorganized the choir completely in 1513.

Among its choir masters there are excellent names such as Giovanni Pierluigi da Palestrina, Domenico Scarlatti, Nicolò Iommelli, Pietro Raimondi, Salvatore Meluzzi and others. Since 1980 the Cappella Giulia has been conducted by Choir Master M° Mons. Pablo Colino. Pablo Colino, born in Pamplona in Spain, has studied Philosophy and Theology in Rome. He holds a MA in composition, sacred music and choir conducting from the Pontifical Institute for Sacred Music and has specialized in Paris, Monserrat, Salzburg, Kécskemet, Geneve, Bucarest and Bologna. He is Canon and Director of Music at St. Peter's Basilica in the Vatican, and Academy Member, Director of Music and Conductor of the various choirs of the Accademia Filarmonica Romana and the Accademia Tiberina. He has performed in numerous concerts all over Europe and in the United States and has recorded over 15 CDs and videos among which the Christmas Concerts that the Italian TV has sent in Eurovision in 1989 and 1990, the Motets by Cardinal R.
