   ENSEMBLE CHATHAM BAROQUE
Chatham Baroque's lively interpretations, stylistic innovation and dazzling technique transport audiences from the elegant French court of Louis XIV to the taverns of England, from the Scottish highlands to the exquisite palaces of Peru.

Honored by National Public Radio as "Best New Classical Artist of 1999," Chatham Baroque is Ensemble-in-Residence at Chatham College and WQED-FM Pittsburgh and tours internationally and throughout the United States. This irresistible ensemble has released five best-selling CDs to critical acclaim.

The Scotch Humour was awarded a five-star rating from Europe's Goldberg magazine. Españoleta spent four weeks on Amazon.com's top-20 list and was nominated by the Association for Independent Music for a 2001 INDIE Award. Reel of Tulloch, the ensemble's fifth CD, is a collaboration with world-renowned flutist Chris Norman. It's sixth CD, sonatas and theater music of Henry Purcell, will be released in the spring of 2002.

Chatham Baroque records exclusively for Dorian Recordings. Through its imaginative outreach programming, Chatham Baroque introduces new audiences of all ages to baroque music. In recognition of this commitment, the ensemble received the 1999 Early Music Brings History Alive Award from Early Music America and the 1999 Logan Award from Penn State Erie. In the 2000-2001 season, its innovative preschool program, Peanut Butter & Jam Sessions, sold out before the first performance.

Chatham Baroque signed a seven-CD contract with Dorian Recordings in 1997. Since then five discs have been released to critical acclaim. The ensemble's premiere CD, The Scotch Humour was the first American recording to receive a five-star rating, from Europe's Goldberg magazine.
