THE ENGLISH CONCERT
The English Concert
By Mark Argent
The English Concert is in its 30th season. In that time they have covered a wide range of eighteenth-century repertoire, and achieved a world-class standing.

They’re linked in most people’s minds with their founder, Trevor Pinnock, who took the unusual decision to stand down. His role as artistic director has passed on to the violinist Andrew Manze, who comes to The English Concert after seven years as Associate Director of The Academy of Ancient Music.

For this interview, Mark Argent spoke with Andrew Manze (AM) and The English Concert’s General Manager, bassoon-player Felix Warnock (FW).
