"French" Harpsichord, double manual 'Taskin 1769' and 'Goermans-Taskin'

These two original instruments belong to the prestigeous Russell Collection, in Edinburgh and are considered among the most important original harpsichords known in our days.

The "TASKIN 1769" was built by Pascal Taskin in 1769. It has a typical French sound of rare elegance with deep and warm low tones.

The "Goermans - Taskin" was originally a Flemish harpsichord that Taskin transformed (ravalement) into a great French instrument. Its bright and sonorous voice makes it particularly suitable for a wide repertoire and for large concert halls.

"Flemish" Harpsichord, double manual "Ruckers 1638"

This instrument is based upon the famous harpsichord made by Ioannes Ruckers in 1638, one of the most interesting instruments made by the great master, the only one existing with its original keyboard.

"German" Harpsichord, double manual 'Zell 1728'

This instrument is based upon the famous Hamburg harpsichord made by Christian Zell in 1728. Its musical elegance and refined look bring to the memory the name of J.S. Bach and the great German harpsichord tradition.

"Italian" Harpsichords

'Giusti 1679': This instrument is inspired to the original belonging to the Tagliavini Collection which was built by Giovan Battista GIUSTI in 1679. Its sound is wide and round, unusual thing for an "Italian" and makes it particularly suitable for a wide solo repertoire and for the "basso continuo".

'Cristofori 1722' : Bartolomeo Cristofori, inventor of the "Pianoforte" has also built some very interesting harpsichords among which the one in Leipzig, made in 1722. This great instrument has cypress soundboard which gives a particularly typical "Italian" sound. It is ideal for the XVII century solo repertoire and for the most demanding performers.

'Grimaldi': This instrument is based on the beautiful original belonging to the Nurnberg National Museum. The case is made with cypres and the compass is Sol 0 - Re 5, with double transposition. Its great sound and particular elegance make this instrument ideal for all the classical uses where an Italian harpsichord is required.

''Primo'' Harpsichord

This is an important harpsichord which was designed according the typical XVII century Italian manufacturing principles. It was made in order to meet, not only the requirements of schools and students but also of continuo performers, ensembles and orchestras. In fact, its strong character, together with the small size and light weight, has given the "Primo" an increasing success and offered many musicians an ideal possibility to approach baroque music.

Single Manual French Harpsichord, model "Taskin"

This harpsichord is based upon the French "TASKIN 1769" and has remarkable musical performances. In particular, the sound is big and brilliant. It is a versatile harpsichord suitable for most professional uses.

''Bentside'' Spinet, 'Goujon 1753'

This spinett has a gracious shape and a sweet and round sonority probably due to a particular position of the wrest plank bridge which gives this instrument a sort of "virginal" sound. The "Goujon 1753" is an ideal instrument for ensemble music both for its wide specific repertoire and for the important musical literature of the north European Countries. Thanks to its good mechanical functioning and wide keyboard, this spinet is also recommendable for student who want to begin harpsichord studies.

Clavichord

Our line of clavichords is composed with two models, each of them available in two different versions. All the models can be equipped with a transport cover. The "Concerto" version is entirely hand-made with a high finishing quality, while the "Studio" version has just been semplified in a few constructive details.
